Johnny Appleseed – by Amanda Parish

Johnny Appleseed - by Amanda Parish Artist Statement: This photograph is apart of a series called "Tangles", which consists of my own interpretation of tales and fables. This series is to explore the juxtaposition of how as a child I imagined the stories to how I imagine them now with an adult mind. Each photograph is accompanied with a rhyme which I have written. The rhyme for this which is below is titled "Johnny Appleseed": I sow the appleseed into the dirt, And there it should spurt, Out of the ground, But then one day, My heart did pound, With such great sound, For what freely became of me, Was none other but the apple tree.
